Pricing for Design Services
The DUO ethos is clarity in communication.
Our clients want an efficient and timely response to their design needs so we offer a fixed fee quote from their instructions. Instructions are given via a project brief, this can be given verbally and will be confirmed with an email summary in reply. We will estimate completion times upon quote and all work is scheduled and time recorded. Our smallest unit is 15 minutes and we aim to maximize the time invested with us. We work economically and only charge for hours working at a screen.

Below are three tiers of pricing. Clients can benefit from lower rates if a project size and duration grows.
HOURLY
We give you the most control over your time spent. Hours are invoiced on project completion, though a deposit is sometimes required depending on project size. Small and urgent jobs quoted under an hourly rate.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
• Meetings and no obligation quote.
• Design project management.
• Copywriting and document checking.
• Design worktime for Print media.
• Design worktime for Screen media.
• Consultation and general help on call 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Hours priced at £75 per hour
For example, a project taking 3 hours worktime at £75 per hour means a total spend of £225 +VAT*
ANY OTHER DETAILS?
Hours will be invoiced monthly at the same hourly rates until project completion.
PAY AS YOU GO
A one off payment in advance. We give you hours of worktime to use when you like. This is great value for a large project or series of projects, you could also dip into a 'pot’ of PAYG hours whenever you need. Available in 5 hour blocks.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
All the features of Hourly rates PLUS:
• Video Editing and Motion Graphics.
• Stock photography from the DUO library.
• Free Printer consultation.
• Free buying assistance for digital media.
• Consultation and general help on call 08:00-20:00 Monday to Sunday.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Blocks priced at £55 per hour.
For example, a Block of 5 hours PAYG at £55 per hour means a total spend of £275 +VAT*
ANY OTHER DETAILS?
Additional hours will be invoiced monthly at the same PAYG rates until project completion.
RETAINER
This is the best value option and an annual agreement, paid monthly. Ideal for a business wanting to consistently improve their design with help on standby. Retainers are for customers needing over 8hrs worktime per month.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
All the features of Hourly and Pay As You Go rates PLUS a photography service, choose between:
• Studio Photography. Up to 20 items per month.
• Location Photography. Single location per month.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Retainers are priced at £45 per hour.
For example, a retainer of 8 hours per month at £45 per hour means a total monthly spend of £360 +VAT*
ANY OTHER DETAILS?
Worktime can be rolled over to a maximum of 12hrs. Additional hours are invoiced monthly at the same hourly rates.
